RADIOLOGY

Your doctor may order radiographic testing (such as X-rays and CT Scans) to evaluate your child’s condition. Simple tests such as X-rays are usually performed on the same day during regular business hours (7:30 am – 4:30 pm) at St. Mary’s Hospital or Henrico Doctors Hospital outpatient radiology departments. These tests do not require an appointment, but do require a doctor’s order which we will provide. Please see the following maps for directions to St. Mary’s and HDH.

Other tests require scheduled appointments and more specific instructions to prepare your child for the test. Our office will schedule these appointments as quickly as possible and contact you with schedule information. If you miss the appointment, it is your responsibility to reschedule the test.

Radiology Results

Radiology results are usually received after the radiologist reviews the tests. Our office will make every effort to contact you as quickly as possible with test results. If you have not heard from us within a day or two, call to confirm that we have received and reviewed the results.
